The mastermind behind this concept is New York based dermatologist, Dr. Whitney Bowe, who has over 1 million followers on the TikTok platform (@drwhitneybowe), and around 12 million likes. Dr. Whitney Bowe used her platform to share this skin cycling routine to help those who are unsure of what is the perfect skin care routine and need some sort of structure to it.


Skin Cycling is a 4-night cycle: Cleanse/Exfoliate/Moisturize, Cleanse/Serum/Moisturize, Cleanse/Moisturize then the next night also Cleanse/Moisturize, then repeat. What makes this cycle available to everybody is that there isn’t one specific brand to use to achieve this skin cycle.



Night One: Cleanse, Exfoliate, Moisturize

Whenever you are doing these routines, you always want to make sure your face is clean and pat dry. The best type of exfoliator to purchase are ones that contain ingredients like AHAs, BHAs and PHAs.
